BLOCKCHAIN MAY
SOUND COMPLEX,
IT IS.

SO LET’S GO

BLOCKCHAIN EXPLAINED:

Food systems are complex, with many actors and little trust between them. Blockchain provides a way to store and share information that nobody can alter or monopolize. For the first time, farmers, chefs, caterers, and consumers can all look at the same version of the truth—and rely on it.

Farmers add the origin

Farmers or producers enter the key data about their product en make a product passport: where it comes from, how it’s grown, and under what conditions. This information is stored on the blockchain; unchangeable and trustworthy.

Chefs build recipes with real data

Chefs and caterers link their dishes to verified ingredients. Every recipe becomes a data story: which farm (location, harvest date), what methods, what impact (CO2, water- and land usage) and ingredient information (allergens, nutrition). The blockchain ensures that this information cannot be manipulated.

Consumers see the truth.

By scanning a QR code on the menu or product, consumers can explore the journey of their food: from farm to fork, complete with origin, sustainability facts, and impact.
